100 × 100 mm R5 Copper Mould Tube
The 100 × 100 mm R5 copper mould tube is manufactured for billet continuous casting machines using a 100 mm square mould section. With an R5 / 5000 mm radius, the tube is designed to match the required caster geometry.
The 780 mm length and 12 mm wall thickness are manufactured according to the customer's technical drawing and mould design. The internal profile, taper and corner radius are customized according to the customer's requirements. The tube is available in Cu-DHP, CuAg and CuCrZr copper grades, with a 0.08–0.12 mm hard chrome plated inner surface.
Copper Grades for R5 Mould Tubes
Cu-DHP Copper
Cu-DHP copper is available for standard billet continuous casting applications requiring good thermal conductivity and reliable mould performance.
CuAg Copper
CuAg copper is selected for applications requiring improved resistance to softening at elevated operating temperatures.
CuCrZr Copper
CuCrZr provides higher mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and suits more demanding continuous casting applications.
Hard Chrome Plated R5 Copper Mould Tube
The internal working surface of the R5 100 × 100 × 780 mm copper mould tube is supplied with 0.08–0.12 mm hard chrome plating. The hard chrome layer provides a wear-resistant working surface for continuous casting service.
The final chrome plating thickness and surface requirements can be adjusted according to the customer's technical specification.
