Kopermaterialen for Mould Tubes

The copper grade decides how long a buis lasts and how fast you can cast. We supply all three industry grades and help you choose.

Cu-DHP

TP2 · phosphorus deoxidized copper

Economical grade for standard knuppel casting at normal speed. Good thermal conductivity, easy to machine, the most common choice for R6 and R9 buizen.

Cu-DHP copper gietvorm buizen

CuAg

Silver-bearing copper · 0.08–0.12 % Ag

Higher softening temperature than Cu-DHP, so the buis keeps its conus longer at the meniscus. Recommended for high-speed knuppel gietmachines.

CuAg copper gietvorm buizen

CuCrZr

Chromium zirconium copper · precipitation hardened

Highest strength and wear resistance. For blooms gietvormen, high casting speed and long campaigns where buis life is the main cost driver.
